Update
During operations pre-work the operations team recorded two minutes of outgoing traffic downtime (for all applications, not just external whitelisted integrations). To minimize any downtime for mission critical applications multiple instances are recommended: https://cloud.gov/docs/apps/multiple-instances/

Scheduled
On Monday July 23 from 10:00 to 10:15 pm ET, the cloud.gov team will do network maintenance to upgrade how the platform handles outbound traffic (upgrading our NAT gateways).

We do not anticipate downtime or other impacts for the majority of customer applications on cloud.gov.

Exception: if your application connects to an external service that whitelists cloud.gov egress IP addresses (https://cloud.gov/docs/apps/static-egress/), such as a custom connection to an agency service in a data center, those network requests may fail for approximately 15 minutes during this maintenance work. This is because during this transition, traffic originating from cloud.gov will come from a temporary set of IP addresses.

This migration will help cloud.gov ensure it can reliably and elastically handle traffic demands for all of the applications hosted on cloud.gov. We will post updates when we start and complete the maintenance.
