PostgreSQL minor version upgrade March 6 - March 13
Scheduled Maintenance Report for cloud.gov
Completed
The cloud.gov team is rescheduling this maintenance to a later window, as our team received the following update from Amazon Web Services (AWS):

> [AWS] sent communications to AWS GovCloud (US) customers regarding auto minor version upgrades of Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL instances running in the AWS GovCloud. Those communications were incorrect, and we do not currently have upgrades scheduled for any RDS for PostgreSQL instances in the GovCloud Region. We will send another communication about the timing of auto minor version upgrades once the latest preferred PostgreSQL minor releases are available in RDS for PostgreSQL in the AWS GovCloud. We apologize for the confusing communications and the inconvenience they may have caused.

We will keep you informed when this maintenance window is rescheduled.

Scheduled
The RDS team with AWS GovCloud was unable to schedule their database updates during the prior maintenance window, so we have another window for this work, starting 01:00 EST March 6 and continuing through 09:00 EST March 12.

All cloud.gov PostgreSQL databases will be upgraded to the latest available minor version during this period.
Upgrades will be conducted during maintenance windows daily from 01:00 EST to 08:59 EST. Your database instance will be unavailable for a few minutes during the upgrade. Your cloud.gov application will be affected if it relies on a PostgreSQL database.

Since PostgreSQL versions 9.3.20, 9.4.15, 9.5.10, and 9.6.6 contain important cumulative security fixes, we are working with AWS RDS to do these upgrades on behalf of cloud.gov customers. If you have questions or concerns, please contact cloud.gov support at cloud-gov-support@gsa.gov
