Good morning! The log search frontend is back in business. Data is being backfilled now, though aspects of this may not be complete until later today. There appears to be a message about shards that happens when doing searches sometimes. We are investigating this and hope to have it resolved soon too. Thanks for your patience!

Tonight, starting at 5pm EST, we will be upgrading the log search software. The user interface will have some slight changes, and the underlying software will be much more up to date and have a number of security-related improvements in it.

During this maintenance window, viewing and searching data in the logs front end (logs.fr.cloud.gov) may return inconsistent and incomplete log results or messages about backend components being unavailable. The user interface itself may be down entirely for a little bit.

Logs will be stored throughout the period, and all log data will be indexed and available in search results when we’ve completed this maintenance.
